Relativity Media To Receive Ischia Global Film & Music Fest's First-Ever Global Entertainment Company of the Year Award

Ryan Kavanaugh’s Relativity Media LLC has been named the first-ever recipient of the Ischia Global Fest’s Global Entertainment Company of the Year Award, and it’s President of Production, Tucker Tooley, will receive the Festival’s prestigious Executive of the Year Award at ceremonies that will take place on the Isle of Ischia the evening of Friday, July 17th. Additionally, Relativity’s A Perfect Getaway will be shown to fest-goers that evening.

The announcement was made here today by Pascal Vicedomini, director of the Seventh Annual Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, who said that Relativity was selected because of the dynamic impact that the company has made on the world’s entertainment community. Vicedomini further noted that this award would become an annual component of the Festival.

“In a few short years, Ryan and Relativity have not only broken new ground by changing the landscape of studio slate film financing in Hollywood, but they also have acquired Rogue Pictures from Universal and have developed and produced their own slate of outstanding independent films under the leadership of Tucker and his team,” Vicedomini added. “We are delighted that they will be with us in Ischia to accept their awards, and to unveil their latest film. A Perfect Getaway ”

Commenting on the award, Kavanaugh said: “We are humbled by this honor and are grateful to Ischia Global Fest for recognizing Relativity. We strive to produce quality projects that resonate with a worldwide audience.”

Tooley stated: “With special thanks to Ryan at the helm, the company is continually working to push boundaries, and gives me an opportunity to work on amazing projects with some of the world’s most talented actors, writers, directors, and producers. That is my greatest reward. To get this honor is icing on the cake. My sincerest thanks to everyone at Ischia for this award, which I share with the great team at Relativity.”

The non-profit Ischia International Arts Academy co-produces the Global Film & Music Fest with the Naples (Italy) Board of Tourism with the special support of the European Union, the Campania Region Board of Tourism and Cultural Assets and the D.G. Cinema - Italian Ministry of Culture.
